Conduit was well beaten in The Eclipse and won with a bit in hand against Tartan Bearer. The result should Sea The Stars or Rip Van Winkle meet the latter should be fairly obvious.
To be honest the side and front views show Tartan Bearer to be unlucky, he was beaten by the better horse but 1.75l flattered Conduit and he didnt have anything in hand imo, side on shows Tartan Bearer headed by Conduit who looked like he was going to sail but Tartan Beaer actually stayed on and battled on, Conduit began to make progress when Moore started leaning on him till the point he needed snatched up and this put him in 3rd only for Tartan Bear to easily make the ground back up on Ask.
If Moore never had done that I think Conduit would have won by a neck to half a length.
