Mon Mome Won't Sink In The Marsh

Haydock has had some slogs in the mud this season and The Peter Marsh chase looks sure to take some getting tomorrow where the ground will be very testing and any non stayers will be thoroughly exposed. Mon Mome should be one however who will love and need every bit of what this race will have in store for the competitors tomorrow. He comes here off the back of a solid effort at Cheltenham on new years day when staying on second well clear of The Sawyer and this his third run of the season he should be pretty much spot on tomorrow given the way the stables runners have progressed through the season for track time and they couldn’t come into today in any better possible form. I’m not concerned that he is down to bare three miles as his stamina should come into play tomorrow in a race I expect finishers will be fewer than the non finishers. He’s lower in the handicap now than when he tackled the race in 2010 having to give top weight to the classy Our Vic and he looks handicapped well enough to win this race
