I don't think he even has to run to the best of his ability to win this race.
Class always shines through in the end.
Voy Por + 16/1 / Ryanair Chase = Very happy Walker!!

Alberta's Run is a stone better horse on this ground than he is on good to soft.
The other is when he beat VPU albeit getting weight he wouldn't be anywhere near the shape he'll be in tomorrow.
VPU is now 11 years old and I'm pretty sure Alan King hasn't been pushing him. I think he's trained him in the hope there's one good race in him and this is it but he's flogging a dead horse and his time has passed.
I think Alberta's Run is going to shock a few people tomorrow and won't be far away.
There's Poquelin and Tranquil Sea to contend with who could easily fill the first 2 places but I have my doubts if they are going to find this as easy as the races either have been winning this season.
There are so many that could win this but Barber's Shop stands out a mile to me.
He really wasn't anywhere near ready to go the road he went last season but Nicky Henderson decided to let him take his chance in the Gold Cup.
Barber's Shop was going every bit as well as Denman in the Hennessy 4 out and even when the big horse quickened on the home turn he still manged to stay within 1 1/2 lengths of him but then he hit stamina barrier. He ran on ok but couldn't raise another ounce of stamina to get past Niche Market who he had cruised past on the home turn.
He's only won once at 3 miles and it wasn't a great race by any stretch of the imagination. They say he doesn't have a trip but I can't have that. He was only 7 years old and while he wasn't over raced he was set some real tough tasks for a horse who Nicky said needed more time.
The Ryanair looks tailormaid for him, he travels really well in his races and the ground looks perfect for him. With a bit less emphaisis on stamina and more on speed if Barry can keep him together I could see him leaving them all standing on the run to the last.
Barber's Shop for me.

Big Buck's
Barber's Shop has a kind of Sizing Europe destiny feel. Shorter to just put that now as I've argued his chances all thread long

Nicky felt that he paid the price for trying to go with Denman at Newbury and Kauto at Kemmpton.
If you look back at those races, he was travelling as well as anything in the Hennessy before his stamina gave way. The horse kept on admirably at the end, but it was a step too far for him.
He was the only one to emerge from the pack at Kempton before a combination of that effort and trying to go with Kauto took its toll on the horse - he only just managed to scramble over the last that day and was caught on the line by Madison Du Berlais.
He's shown his liking for the course in the past and I agree that two miles-five around here is perfect for him.
Doesn't have an impressive win - run ratio so it's difficult to have any real confidence in the horse, but it would be another grand moment if a horse bred by the late Queen Mother could do the business at Cheltenham.

VPU is 9 years old and here's hoping he puts in a good round tomorrow.

For stats fans, his Cheltenham record reads 11222.
Certainly worth a look, IMHO.

On his form of the start of the season he has the beating of plenty of these.

Had a small wager on DP last night, but main money goes on Poquelin - just hope the rain stays away

I can't see this horse being anywhere else but in the thick of it coming over the last.
It's pivotal that he has this type of ground and he ran a cracker in this last year.
I'd be surprised if he was 12/1 by 2.40. My ew selection in the race.
