Re: All Ireland Football and Hurling betting

Mighty stuff altogether David. Kerry's demise fecks up a lot of my bets but it really opens the championship up. Hopefully the Lilywhites do the business against your Royalist boys tomorrow and I can lay off my 100/1! Dublin v Kildare/Meath All-Ireland Final?? "Anyone buying or selling ...

Re: All Ireland Football and Hurling betting

Hopefully won't need any dodgy goals either! You don't fancy the Joe Show at 5/1 to crash over for the first touchdown?! The teams Kildare have beaten are all poorish bar Monaghan and they were very flat after the Ulster Final. It's hard to know how good Meath are either though. The Biffos we...

Re: New Channel 4 Racing member - Matt Dawson

Channel 4 should try to get Ted Walsh permanently from RTÉ. I'm not sure his reaction to Richard Hughes' ride today would go down well with Off-Com or whatever they're called though. I was in stitches listening to it. I'll try to get a link for it in the next few days! Don't know if this will work ...

Performed about as well as the Clare hurlers & Galway footballers this year!

Re: Galway racing - sub standard

Galway is an excuse for a piss up rather than a racing festival. Christy Moore's 'Ballad Of Ruby Walsh' sums it up perfectly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxRS6cgwZiU&feature=related There's fine talent around if you're going on the pull but the standard of fillies & mares on t...

All Ireland Football and Hurling betting

The real business starts this weekend with the football quarter finals: Kerry v Down Tyrone v Dublin Roscommon v Cork Meath v Kildare I think Kerry will deal with Down fairly comfortably even without Tomás Ó Sé and Paul Galvin. I can't see the Down backs holding the likes of Donaghy, Gooch and Decla...

Re: Favorite Sopranos Character?

So many classic characters and episodes. Mikey Palmice in the first series was brilliant. Loved the "Hijack, bye jack" line when he clipped Christopher's mate. Some of the best scenes involved him and Tony: Tony - "hey Mikey, how's the boy?" Mikey - "what boy's that Tone?&qu...

Re: CHELTENHAM GOLD CUP

I am indeed TAPK.

Noel's Cheltenham record and the prospect of quickish ground by the fourth day tempers my enthusiasm somewhat.

He won't be that price if he wins the Lexus & Hennessy

Novice Hurdlers 2010/2011

Anyone willing to take a punt on what might be the novice hurdlers to follow when the proper stuff gets back under way in the Autumn? Two I'm looking forward too are: First Lieutenant: Son of Presenting in training with Mouse Morris for Gigginstown (obvious comparisons with a certain Gold Cup winner...

Re: CHELTENHAM GOLD CUP

Anyone know what the plans are for Mad Max? I'm tempted to have a speculative few bob on him but with Punchestowns, Long Run and Burton Port all in the same yard, will he be stepped up to three miles?

Re: Champion Hurdle 2011

I'm surprised Peddlers Cross is not going chasing. While he may well be very competitive over timber next year, I saw him win his point down at Liscarroll and I really think he could be something special over fences. Like Grassy and IS I'm a huge Hurricane Fly fan but you'd need your head seeing to ...
