A 2012 Derby thread? Seriously?
You might want to run your 'Pivotal's progeny don't stay' theory by the likes of Megahertz and Sariska, RIGITS; I doubt they'd agree. There are plenty of ten-furlong horses who promised to stay further too (Heaven Sent and Golden Apples, for instance).

There's actually plenty to like about Jupiter Storm. The dam's produced 5 horses, 3 of which are now Blacktype/have been alloted a RPR of 100+. But she didn't win a race and the horse has been sent to Gary Moore. Doesn't bode well.
I've been through the unnamed horses with dams whose name begin with A-H. 129 horses with 44 qualifiers on the basic trends;
Must be foaled between January 1st and early/mid-April.
Dam must have gained Blacktype or been unraced
Sire stamina index of 8.5+ (with a pardon for Shamardal on 8.4)
Dam must have produced a blacktype/RPR100+ horse if she's foaled 4 or more runners.
I've also eliminated any Galileo runners with a damsire stamina index of more than 10.0. A quick flick through his better progeny shows you that they're just too slow.
There's a really beautifully bred horse from Darley and owned by Sheikh Mo. By Kingmambo, out of Danelagh. Nothing but class in that pedigree. Has a fairly nice foaling date too.
O'Brien's also got a lovely colt by Galileo out of Beauty Bright. A very early foal, January 19th. Bodes well for the early Classics. Again lots of class in the pedigree and a Galileo-Danehill cross to boot.
Also another early foal for him. Again by Galileo, this time out of Ask For The Moon, a Group 1 winner. A bit too much stamina in the conduit side to be fast enough for the Derby though.
Plenty of mini Manduros, Rail Links and Authorizeds in there. Also a couple of Cockney Rebels and even a Jazil.
A ridiculous amount of May foals in training with Bin Suroor. 4 so far, a couple of mid-late April foals too.
Armchair Jockey - Pivotal fillies stay, the colts don't.

Come on guys who you think will win the derby next year
BTS will not stay 1m4.That is what most people belive
Camelot.Had a setback
David Livingston.Looks one paced but could run well.
Akeed Mofeed will be back next year and will be the derby horse for Oxx
Jungle Beat is a horse i like but heard no news when he race next why has he had a long break.
If i had to pick one it be IMPERIAL MONARCH at 25/1 though he may need some juice in ground. he was a commanding winner of his maiden and i think he go to France next and next year could turn out to be the best 3yo of AOB.

Camelot's setback is reported as him having a temperature rather than being an injury. Won't see him now until the spring.
One from left field that we have see him a fair bit of already is Parish Hall. This one is bred for middle distances being by Teofilo out of a Montjeu mare but has done really well running over inadequate trips this summer.
He is entered up for the Dewhurst on Saturday a race Bolger has won 3 times in the last few years. If it was over a mile I'd be confident. However, the up hill finish will be all in his favour.
I think he'll come into his own next season over 12 furlongs. He appears to be Jim Bolger's best prospective middle distance colt for next season, and given his sire is Teofilo who Bolger will naturally look to promote then I guess that he will be given at the very least a chance in one of the trials. Unless he wins the Dewhurst of course.
As I said, a left field pick.

Bobby i agree with you on Parish Hall i been saying he be a decent colt next year in 2yo summary thread.Though a bit shocked he not raced at a 1m yet on good ground a race like Racingpost trophy would be good for him.
And has anyone heard any news on Jungle Beat.Trained by Gosden and in the Tabor colours since a impressive debut win. i heard nothing about him on when he race next.

Seems I was wrong about Camelot being out for the season, he's been left in the Racing Post. Really looking forward to seeing him run again.

Coolmore have a whole load of Un-exposed 2yr olds that could be potential Derby Horses.
However their has been no talk or back room chat about their horses this year from the colt side. I am extremely disappointed with Aidan O Brien sorting this 2yr olds out. Its seems rushed and poor planning for the most part.
Hopefully we get some sort of clear up of the ability of these runners at the weekend

Well Parish Hall is no left field pick now!
Really impressed with him today. He'll be even better over 10 and 12 furlongs next season.
Reckon he'll have a crack at the Guineas first though.
