at the end of the day, if frankel retires after this year, like cecil stated he might, then in my opinion everybody has the right to rave about the clash with black caviar.

me personally would prefer to see a clash with frankel and so you think. a mile or mile and a quarter, ran at a truly run pace would be thrilling.

Or Frankel Vs this year's Guineas winner, whoever that may be.

If the race was run at a truly blistering pace, it'd play straight to Frankel's strengths. Personally, I think he'd crush So You Think.

As Cormack15 mentioned, a showdown with this year's 2000 Guineas winner could be interesting.
The class of 86

Carlsberg don't do racehorses but if they did, Frankel would still beat them.

Heavier than Denman? If she beat Frankel, the Brits would demand a sex test like the ones they used to give to those Russian shot-putters :)

And if he avoids her then she's sent to the paddocks at least it will allow the Sun headline writers to come out with "Frankely my dear, I don't give a dam!"
Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you to his level and beat you with experience, and onlookers won't be able to tell who is who.

The two best racehorses in the world, unbeaten and invincible possibly until they meet - doesn't get much better than that and the prolonged expectation keeps the excitement going.

The two best flat horses in the world - at different distances. If you genuinely think it "doesn't get much better than that" that's a bit sad really. I don't find the prospect of a competition in which one horse will be at a total disadvantage particularly exciting.

Why can't people just be thrilled Black Caviar is coming over and let her continue to be a champion at what she does best, while Frankel gets to be a champion at what he does best?

And what exactly might that be?

She is best at what she does. But what she does, is not what she might be best at.

As good as it get's publicity wise for racing which could do with some positive stories.

Also, a match could maybe be made at a distance which isn't completely disadvantageous to either, or maybe more than one match at different distances.

It most likely won't happen, but it makes good cover.

Just wondering if you think Ortensia has beaten the best sprinters around?

Or are all the best sprinters in the UK? (along with best milers, middle distance, stayers, hurdlers, chasers, basically everything according to you lot)

Only thing that can beat BC in England is the travel. If she gets thrown out of whack or picks up a virus or whatever. Like what happened with Exceed and Excel. if she's at her best just enjoy the experience cause you haven't seen one like her come over before.

This isn't stallion hype like frankel and syt this is a proven freak at the very top over and over again in the best sprinting nation on the planet.

To do that he's got to run her against the best sprinters around and trounce them.

Like AIC says, the form is there on the board. Ortensia beat an in form and every chance Sole Power and others, and Star Witness came over and matched motors with European topliners. Black Caviar has obliterated those 2 compatriots so Moody knows what he's up against. Granted Hoof It, Deacon Blues, and Bated Breath emerged after Ascot but only Deacon Blues looks a potential world-class star and he's out.

But you're right in that she'd have to win at Ascot and prove she handles the UK tracks before thinking about Frankel.

Stallion hype? Wtf? Correction: Frankel is a proven freak at the very top over and over again against the very best milers on the planet. He has so far not beaten but destroyed the likes of Canford Cliffs, Dream Ahead, Excelebration, Immortal Verse, Strong Suit etc... The only top miler he never met was Goldikova, and well, he has trounced the last three horses to have beaten Goldikova in Europe.

On the other hand, whilst Black Caviar has beaten Hay List, Ortensia, Star Witness and co., she has never met Val De Ra, JJ The Jet Plane, Rocket Man, Dream Ahead, Deacon Blues, Immortal Verse and not even Sepoy. And, yet, she's a proven freak at the very top level despite having not come up against these aforementioned sprinters, but for Frankel, it's only stallion hype in spite of him having beaten the world's best milers bar Goldikova? HA HA HA.

Note: I'm not disputing the fact that Black Caviar is a proven freak, but that hilarious statement of yours. If anything, Frankel has been far more tested on the mile, given the level of competition he has met, than Black caviar has been as a sprinter. And, yes, SYT is pure stallion hype, at least you got that one right.

No Aussie-based milers worthy of a listing?

Stands to reason if we've got a middle distance galloper capable of going over and winning multiple group 1's and a sprinter capable of the same, we might just have an ok miler tucked away somewhere too?

Ya reckon I might be onto something?

Google 'More Joyous' and educate yourself a little.

Don't stop there though. Our miler depth is actually half decent, you might be pleasantly surprised!
