Said most of this before but the programme chiefs need to look at the chemistry of how everything fits in with racing.
As in the days when Clare and Rishi were on the BBC, it’s all about the interviews, the presentation skills etc.
You need more characters on the programme, not just those who communicate very well, it’s more than that.
Someone like Derek Hobson should lead the programme with Clare chipping in only very occasionally.
Mick Fitzgerald is too Oirish for the programme, okay if the programme comes from Leopardstown etc, but it doesn’t work well over here.
Mac should come back. Francome’s a miss.
The programme needs more earthy people on it, not just those who have a London city accent.
Of the programme, horses should feature the most, then the people.
