I must admit I have modified the rules slightly over the last few selections as I really did not have a "gut" feeling over the selection or the odds were far too short - although, some of the last few have been very short prices. I am also not keen on apprentice or handicap races.
I concentrate on the meeting of the day of where the most favourites oblige - normally the first race tends to<br>be the one. Today, for instance Chester has a strike rate of 37.3% for favourites and looks like the first race should oblige. The first favourite is forecast "4-6", but the last race is a "classified stakes" of which "favourites" have a reasonable chance and the "favourite" is forecast at "10-11". I will probably go for the last at Chester because the forecast odds are slightly better.
I do not post a selection everyday unless I feel comfortable about doing so. Sundays there is never a selection as I am always away.
