I made it 7.50 Catterick but I'm gonna bow to your superior strike rate and give it a miss again..... it does look a dodgy race dunnit......

Morning Matron..... were not gonna agree again today cos I notice that according to your paper, the meeting is Bangor with 37%...... The Racing Post says its Ripon with 47%.... thats a tremendous difference in stats, can you shed any light on why ?????
I'll be betting at Ripon but because we differ in our choices I'll call a no bet on here (that'll keep our 100% record intact.....

MrE,

I really don't know why the stats differ so much - I would imagine the "RP" are over a longer period of time.

Still, onto today.

Evening Matron..... I've checking out the difference in the stats between the two papers, you said in an earlier posting that the stats in your paper was over 10 years, in the RP its 5 years, so problem sorted.... I think....... ... I think we need to keep a wary eye on both papers cos at present, for August, I have 11 wins and 3 losers (but I do bet on a Sunday if there's a selection).... Keep hitting 'em where it hurts Matron, we need a few more down here in "Systems"...

MrE,

Looks like the "RP" stats could be a better indication. I will carry on until the end of the month using the "Times" and in September change over using the "RP" stats.

I am glad you are having a good month.

Dunno wether I'd change over papers just yet Matron, you've still got a tremendous strike rate. I dont agree with your staking but I cant fault your "hits"..... We possibly differ in our technique and you may not "feel" the same way that I do about the selected race. Today is an example, I would just be tempted to go for 2.30 Brighton, but you have declined.... Why ???? .... the fact that its a 2yo maiden race doesn't bother me, yes, there are a couple of newcomers but the possible bad price is the only sticky bit, I hate poor prices in maidens.
I wouldnt change totally, follow 'em both by all means but stick it out for a while with the same format cos its still impressive..............

MrE,

The meeting according to the "Times" is Nottingham
at 35%. (Brighton is 34.2%) So we differ on the meetings; if I went for any meeting at Brighton it would be the 3:00 as the forecast odds are better.

Matron.... according to the RP, its the other way round. Its got your choice (Willie Conquer) at 8/11 but Zamyatina is 10/11............ I think we've got some homework to do to find out which is the best paper cos these two are way apart. All we can do is keep pottering on and keep notes. I've been doing it this way for a few years now and its always paid for an holiday, but your strike rates were looking good too when choosing different gee gees, so I had to take an interest. These methods could compliment one another and I wouldn't feel at all guilty taking more money from the bookies.......
