Bit late in the day to be boasting prices that are long gone but my main bets
My Flora (Foxhunters)
Sprinter Sacre,Sprinter Sacre,Sprinter Sacre,Sprinter Sacre, Sprinter Sacre and 3 more Sprinter Sacre's (Arkle), went nuts on him
Grandouet ew, Spirit Son win
Just in case he hacks up tomorrow at Market Rasen I have backed Trozulon 50/1 ew for the Neptune with an independent bookie. He is not quoted anywhere else but hopefully after tomorrow he will be.

Arkle; Al Ferof 12/1 10pts
Champion Hurdle; Zarkandar 12/1 3pts
RSA; Hidden Cyclone 25/1 6pts
Queen Mum; Sizing Europe 14/1 5pts, plus various others. My most confident Festival selection.
Jewson; Solix 14/1 6pts
Ryanair; Rubi Light 25/1 4pts
World Hurdle; Big Buck's & Sizing Europe, 11/1 10pts
Albert Bartlett; Fingal Bay 10/1 5pts
Gold Cup; Captain Chris 18/1-20/1 6pts
I like Baby Run in the Foxhunter's & Sizing Australia in the X-Country too. Not silly enough to back them yet though.
I'm going to start looking at the Supreme in the next couple of weeks. Don't like any of the market principals. Neptune looks far too open atm. Never look at the Triumph until February.

I like threads like these. It’s interesting to see the successes and sometime epic fails of the ante post punter. Mine aren’t too bad so far, despite me getting sucked into a Black Jacar-esque punt on Hinterland.
Supreme
Simonsig – 1.5pt e/w @ 14s
Cinders and Ashes – 1.5pt e/w @ 20s
Prospect Wells – 1.5pt e/w @ 14s
Arkle
Al Ferof – 3pt @ 7s
Champion
Rock On Ruby – 3pt e/w @ 20s
Grandouet – 2pt @ 14s
--
Neptune
Fingal Bay – 3pt e/w @ 8s
Hazy Tom – 1.5pt e/w @ 20s
RSA
Grand Crus – 10pt @ 5s
Coral Cup
Recession Proof - 2pt e/w @ 20s (ADDED 11/1/12)
--
Albert Bartlett
Sea Of Thunder – 3pt e/w @16s
Triumph
Hinterland – 4pt e/w @ 10s
Gold Cup
Quel Esprit – 1.5pt e/w @ 33s NRNB
Quel Esprit - 1pt @ 40s (ADDED 11/1/12)
--
I’ve no idea why I have so many runners in the Supreme. I guess its because I always try to find the winner of the first to get the week up and running. I backed Hinterland at 10s only a few days before his bubble burst last time out. Ah well.
Over the next couple of weeks I plan on adding a saver in the RSA in case Grand Crus runs on the Friday. It will probably be Bob’s Worth @ 13/2 for a 1pt win and First Lieutenant 1.5pt e/w @ 20s. I will also back Finnians Rainbow for the QMCC before the VC chase @ 7s. If he wins (and I think he will, the price will be shorten a point or two – and I really fancy him). And I may go in again on Al Ferof for the Arkle.
The other horse that has caught my eye is Recession Proof in the Coral cup. Connections are pretty bullish about this one and think he could be well handicapped on his staying on 5th in the best Supreme for years. They plan to run him in early Feb, and were even talking about a tilt at the World Hurdle if he wins impressively after stepping up in trip. I can’t see that though.
Zark – 14s on Sizing Europe? Well played Sir. That’s the standout bet of the thread so far imo.

Blunkett: Quite a few of us got the 14s about Sizing Europe winning his last race at Sandown and then the QMCC, fingers crossed.
I believe Hazy Tom will be heading for the Supreme, he wont get home in the Neptune mate, sure the trainer has committed him to the Supreme! His style of running will surely set the race up for a finisher though!
I have backed Sea of Thunder/Al Ferof and especially like Sea of Thunder. Cinders and Ashes looks a lovely prospect too
If you are looking for some value try out DILDAR for the Triumph, currently 20s and has awesome French flat form (5l behind Pour Moi LTO in a listed event!!), hails from the Nicholls yard and wont be out until end of Jan/early Feb so fits current trends

It was a while back I backed Hazy Tom. IIRC it was before his last race. I did Sea Of Thunder at the same time as their form ties together very closer. I thought I remembered reading that he would run in the Supreme if the going was soft, but would step up in trip otherwise. Could be wrong though. In fact, looking at the betfair prices (42 for the supreme and 55 for the Neptune), he could still run in either.
Again looking at Betfair (I know this isn't always accurate), but Simonsig looks to be Supreme bound too.

Yup, really think Lads bollocked up there. The other 2 offering prices were only 10s and 11s.

So far:
Arkle: Peddlers @ 8/1
Neptune: Mount Benbulben @ 14/1
World Hurdle: Big Bucks @ 4/5 nrnb, Thousand Stars e/w @ 8/1
Albert Bartlett: Sea Of Thunder @ 16/1
Gold Cup: Quito @ 25/1
Happy enough at this stage. Other I may back shortly are Realt Dubh (Ryanair), Dylan Ross (Supreme), First Lieutenant (RSA)

Being 'The King of Ante-Post' i feel somewhat enbarrassed that i cant say i took the 1000 on Synchronised for the Gold Cup with Betfair,i have 14/1.My other wager in the race is 34's about Quito de la roque but my Darkest of dark horses is a tenner on Magnanimity at 210 on the machine,he reminds me a lot of War of Attrition!

Little treble big payout
Hurricane Fly Irish Champion Hurdle, Finians Rainbow VCC, with Sprinter Sacre Arkle Trophy at a fraction under 20/1
Was contemplating backing Darlan because of the way he came off a very strong gallop the other day but instead I backed Cinder and Ashes EW (Supreme) yesterday yet again and the bookie is still going 20/1 today
The Supreme winner of course hasn't been out yet but will be shortly as soon as Nicky gets his finger out his ass and re-enters him. That didn't come across the way it should have..did it?
