Euro 2012 Competition.

Hi Everyone I wasn't going to run a comp as am going to be pushed for time but came across this one from the Talking Horses forum, so to keep an added interest in the Euros follow the rules below.

Rules

You must select five different teams competing at this year’s European Championships.

Points will be awarded on the basis of the performance of each entrants’ teams in the championships. The points are awarded as follows:

Winners: 100 points
Losing finalists: 75 points
Losing semi-finalists: 50 points
Losing quarter-finalists: 25 points
3rd in group: 5 points

However, to avoid everyone going for the Germans, Spaniards, etc., a weighting will be attached to each team’s score. The points earned by each team will be multiplied by the weighting to get the final points. The weightings are as follows:

Spain 2
Germany 2
Netherlands 4
England 5
France 5
Italy 6
Portugal 7
Russia 7
Ukraine 13
Croatia 13
Poland 15
The Czech Republicans 17
Sweden 20
Greece 20
Denmark 32
Eire 35

So if one of your teams is Portugal, and Portugal get knocked out in the quarter-finals, you will score 7 * 25 points, which is 175 points.Anybody picking England, will score 5 * 75 points if they are beaten in the final, totalling 375 points.
