Following the rumours on Betfair last night, it has been confirmed that Exotic Dancer misses the Letherby & Christopher Chase on Sat due to a pulled muscle. He is also doubtful for the Gold Cup.

Let's hope he can recover in time but it was always a 100-1 shot that Kauto, Denman & Exotic Dancer would all turn up in March :(

So -
Exotic Dancer is injured, Black Jack Ketchum and Crocodile's Rock have been brutalised and Wichita Lineman won't run on Saturday because the opposition looks too good...

Will the last Jonjo O'Neill apologist please switch offthe lights?

Perhaps TDK you should take up training horses, from all of your posts on the subject you would seem to be an expert.

So JohnJ, unless one is a trainer they have no right to post comment, analysis or criticism upon those that are?

So no-one bar Paul Nicholls is qualified to comment on training ability - a pathetic argument...

JP must have money to burn to keep his horses with this man...I would sell the yard and spread the horses around proper trainers.

Legitimate criticism is one thing but blaming O'Neill for the fact that Exotic Dancer has pulled a muscle is quite another.

I don't know the circumstances of the injury gus and it may be the case that it isn't down to poor training - but the overall picture at Jackdaws Castle makes pretty grim reading?

If Exotic Dancer does make it to the Gold Cup then Barry Geraghty should ride as he nearley got up to beat Kauto Star at Haydock in the Betfair Chase.

Shame that he may miss but how many big guns will still swerve the race thinking that they are only running for 3rd or 4th and if this is the case then the Gold Cup will end up with about 5 Nicholls runners and some handicappers picking up any spare money thats left loose

tdk

Now I'm no Jonjo apologist and his excuse for pulling Wichita out on Saturday is a crock of sh*t in my opinion, but can you explain how Crocodile's Rock has been brutalised?

2 from 4 last term and creditable sixth in Cheltenham bumper, and just the two starts this term - a soft touch in Aintree back in October, and then following a 2 1/2 month break he failed to give 10lb to Petitfour whose bumper form was once again franked today with 7 lengths back to the third.

Maybe u feel running a good novice under 12-2 is akin to being brutalised, but I felt that the horse actually shirked the issue last day as he travelled so well throughout the race only to prick his ears on the run in. As a result, I didn't feel his Class 3 penalty was the overall factor in him losing out.

Not having a pop in anyway, was just interested in ur take?
