For me, this has to be a lay at 6/4. I'm suprised that The RP's Trading Post rate it as more of a banker than a blowout.
*making its seasonal debut by giving 7lb to this field is going to be tough: Royal Oath and Don't Panic are certainly upto winning listed/Group 3 races, and both have had recent runs (the former was second to Archipenko in Dubai last time, which looks good now), .
*it's no certainty that Cesare is as good as last year, as he's 7YO now.
*he benefited from a very, very fast pace when he won this race last year; and this is more likely to be tactical, with only one likely frontrunner.
*Spencer will hold him up, and I'm sure that he will need to be ridden hard at some point to overtake his two main rivals; will he be fit enough?
Anyone got any thoughts on this one?

Oh dear...
I see Royal Oath is a non-runner now. I don't think laying Cesare is so wise now as you're likely to be relying on one horse.
Unfortunately I've already laid him. Damn.

Installment 3 of 3:
I've managed to back him at bigger than I laid him, for a guranteed profit of £10. I'm about to watch the race with my feet up, feeling like Sir Lordship Of Kings.
Fin.

He does have his limitations, but this is meat and drink to Cesare and he won very easily.
