Word has it Alan King is seriously considering switching Batonnier to this race. Looks nicely weighted off 10-9 14/1 still going with Boylesports.

I hope he does. Horse will be clobbered = bigger prices for the remainder. Kings horses are going to be overpunted due to the stables form over the past 2 months. OTT!!!!

Tap Night is very big at 20s - destroyed Northern Novices and beat Captain Conan going away at Kelso last time.
Lucinda Russell has a nice team coming down south next week - keep an eye on her runners, they'll all be well overpriced.

Not a very original choice, but Get Me Out Of Here must have a great chance, mind you I'd back him anywhere he turned up.

Another one is American Trilogy, ran on very well on his return to hurdles last month, and 33's seems a great price for him.

Corm spoke to the connections of Tap Night after his win Saturday and is apparently Punchestown bound.

Gordon Elliot has said Carlito Brigante goes for this rather than the World Hurdle.

Still 20s in places.

I've always liked trying to work out the Coral Cup. More so than most other races, think this is as much about airy phrases like gut-instinct, habitual trainers, laid-out etc. rather than just down to pure form.

One that passes all my unscentific tests is Toner D'Oudairies. Same connections won the race last year. You can argue they have been playing around with him this winter, but he has shown a few glimpses this season & last, to suggest he can be competive off this mark.

On more logical tests. He's had some experience in big field hurdles, but as only a 5yo in his second season hurdling is still that bit unexposed..& will probably sneak in right at the bottom of the handicap. Going to have to assume he'll be OK on the decent ground.

He's the only Cheltenham bet I've had so far.

Spirit River, Tenor Nivernais at the moment though could change - one of those races which could cut up dramatically due to other entries

Wrong thread. sorry
The late, great An Siorrac would have won at least one Cheltenham Gold Cup, RIP, your star never had the chance to shine as brightly as it would have done.

Very late but hadn't really looked. Shoreacres has a habit of finding one too good but if he is 2nd @ 50/1 here it wouldn't be a huge surprise.

Very surprised at the lack of comment about Son of Flicka; maybe everyone's looking forward rather than back.

Now I like McCain; his horses generally seem to be trying and to run their races, but this fellow's four runs this season just stink to me.

Barney Curley couldn't have done a better job and the lack of an enquiry or reference makes me wonder what the stewards are there for.
