because if bonfire wins the derby that clare balding will be unbearable,she was bad enough when "my brothers" horse won the oaks a few years ago.
those on here that thins that shes the bees knees should remember that day and hope she is let nowhere near ch4 racing next year.

It couldn't possibly be anywhere near as bad as last year's fawning over the royal runner. We would probably still be hearing about it in twenty years time had Carlton House actually won.

Last year was truly awful and everything else subsequent is quite tolerable in comparison (with the notable exception of the Ascot fashion show).

Hmm Bachelors I rather like that post ....a bit of fawning for the royal equines , never goes amiss !!!.....I will have to keep a close eye on you from now on......


Dont worry my friend , with Lesley , Tommo , plus all of the rest of them , they will just bumble along as usual , fawning , that will be Big Mac's department ......in my opinion of course



Bring back the ITV 7 .....

To be fair I think CB did an admirable job when Andrew's horse won the Oaks. In fact, the whole thing was a great TV moment really.

But agree that the BBC fawning over C.House was OTT - then again, had he won it'd have been a HUGE global story so I suppose they were looking it from that context rather than our more parochial 'racing' viewpoint.
