Been a great thread in the last few years have spotted horses like SNA,FRANKEL and Camelot we all have so here is the start of the 2012 thread.
Normally the 1st 2yo maiden is not a good race but this year it looked a cracker.DAWN APPROACH is 2 from 2 and the 3rd FORESTER who won a maiden next time out beating another Bolger horse MOVE TO STRIKE who has since won a maiden very easy to.So far it looks like these are the best 2yos in Ireland in terms of the colts.
In England the best 2yo maiden so far was at Newbury when ENGLISHMAN won quite cosy the form has been franked by the horses behind him too.
Any thoughts from you guys.

New Pearl who won at HQ on 1000 Guineas day won with plenty of authority. He should be suited by a step up to 6f.
Both of the Bolger horses are entered in the Marble Hill on Saturday while Infanta Branca is down to represent Ballydoyle, Cay Verde could represent the Englishman form while Hannon and Johnston have Lyric Ace and Heavy Metal in at this stage. Forester needs further than the minimum.

Lines Of Battle was a nice winner of a maiden race at weekend.
Cay Verde won listed race but intresting to note that Mick Channon said he has a few nicer types then him.
Any thoughts on the Coventry i like this DAWN APPROACH best 2yo we seen so far.

Just watched a recording of Sir Prancealot win at Sandown this evening. Struth, how many gears did he have? Looking forward to seeing this one run again. Brilliant!
The class of 86

Sir Prancelot looks very exciting, to pick up 2 or 3 times like that in one race takes some doing!

Christoforo Colombo would be high on my list of 2yo's this season.
It can be argued that man’s instinct to gamble is the only reason he is not still a monkey up in the trees.

There are 2 listed races for 2yos at Naas tomorrow any thoughts on them.

The colts race is a cracker darren. Be interesting to see the match of GB and Irish form. Mister Marc looked promising to me but the Irish form could be strong

Dawn Approach has now moved into the top 15 on my 2yo old list with a speed rating of 76.
Sir Prancealot would be sitting joint top on my 2yo list with a rating of 85 if we take into account the interference at Sandown cost him approximately 2 lengths.
My qualifying rating for Royal Ascot is 75.

I managed to watch my top rated 2yo Penny's Picnic run in a listed contest today at Maison-Laffitte and he won easy enough just ridden out with hands and heels.
I did a quick calculation of the going today and the course was riding -0.34s/f per furlong slow making the time base going as good to soft.
The provisional speed rating today was only 49 which is a big drop from his last figure of 85.
I am still hoping that the horse will run at Royal Ascot
