Excellent. All we need now are replacements for Thommo, Cooper and Bryce and we're sorted.

Will there be an option to watch ATR without HD?

I ask this because I do my video reading on -2x from the winning post but on HD there is too big a jump between images and doesn't run well.
I consider myself to be the most knowledgeable Horse Racing enthusiast in the United Kingdom.

Clearly this is not good news if you like to watch the review of the previous days racing (without split screens, crawlers and voice overs that plague the live coverage) instead of tedious chat and over-analysis of what might happen in the future.

No way ATR can show everything in 45 minutes, so I guess a lot of meetings just won't get shown again.

I know you can see the races on various websites, but you need a very good PC and broadband connection to get a decent picture. The only hope is that there will be some sort of red button facilty where you can play reviews yourself. A longshot, and I bet Virgin Media wouldn't provide the facility for at least a year anyway.

Instead we have 4 (why four?) news bulletins and two previews.

9.00 News Bulletin
9.15 Racing Review
10.00 News Bulletin
10.15 Raceday Preview
11.00 News Bulletin
11.15 Raceday Preview
12.00 News Bulletin
12.15 Race Day Live
5.30/9.30pm Stateside

Matthew Imi said on ATR today they want to be more racing news focused and the HD is HD ready not going to HD at the moment.

Prefer to watch racing rather than chat about racing.

Can't wait for an update on what Frankel had for dinner every day (probably four times a day)! It's going to be repetitive.

Will The Form Factor, Irish Angle etc still exist?
It can be argued that man’s instinct to gamble is the only reason he is not still a monkey up in the trees.

"Get On, Get In, Form Factor and Irish Angle will be accommodated within the new rolling news format but without their own specific programme identities"

Sounds like it's just going to be "ATR News 24" channel in the mornings. :(
