Interesting summons.Just some thoughts;the Aga Khan dumped his trainer when he found out his horses were doped. Is this another Nicky Henderson case? Will he get the same presumption of innocence that Kieren Fallon got? Will he have to wait two years to clear his name?

The silence is deafening.Where are all the Barney Curley bashers gone? That Godolfin should come to this. Can't wait to hear the "Henderson" explanation i.e. "I did not know what was going on in my yard" or "It's the vets fault".Since he does not train for the Queen he will not be treated as lightly as the bold Nicky.Or maybe money will speak up loud and clear?

Personally, I'm not avoiding the matter for any reason other than the fact that it's an upcoming case which I'm not in a position to speculate or comment on at this juncture... That and truth be told, I don't really care all that much.
I suspect that this is how many other forum users feel.
Hope this helps.

Except I like Karl Pilkington....
If I were a linesman, I'd execute all defenders who applauded my offsides

Ever trained more than 40 Cheltenham Festival winners ?
Thought not.
Henderson is the best jumps trainer in the last 30 years.

As it was not featured on the sportinglife website or made a headline on the BHA website I didn't even know. Having had a brief look on those two sites I can still find nothing so perhaps you could tell us what he has been accused of/required to answer.

Internet shows that urine samples from two of his horses (Mariners Cross who won Wood Ditton Stakes 19/4/12 and Lyric of Light last in 1000gns 6/5) have tested positive with traces of propoxyphene.

Wow, I'm surprised this hasn't been reported more widely.
If Al Zarooni is found responsible for authorising his horses to run with propoxyphene - which I see is a type of painkiller - then the question has to be why did the horses need this? If they were running in spite of some underlying lameness or physical problem, then perhaps it would be seen as cruelty.

Thanks for that, will have a look. I dont suppose the Post would carry the story as nothing even mildly negative about Godolphin is permitted.
