Always a race that thows up a couple of decent 2yo's, won in recent seasons by Guineas Winners Power, Canford Cliffs and Henrythenavigator.
One I hope runs here is the Henrythenavigator colt Cristoforo Colombo, who looked smart when making a winning debut at Navan. It's hard to know what the form is worth, with the second horse slightly disappointing in a Listed race since, but the fifth finished 3 lengths behind another Ballydoyle colt Lines Of Battle at the Curragh recently. I think Cristoforo Colombo will prove himself to be a very smart horse, and I believe this is his target.
The afforementioned Lines Of Battle is also prominent in the betting, as are Jim Bolger's Dawn Approach, Richard Hannon's Sir Pracealot and Charles Hill's Englishman.

It can be argued that man’s instinct to gamble is the only reason he is not still a monkey up in the trees.

Sir Prancealot looked a very good horse in Sandown met trouble quicked when asked and the Hughes took a pull and he quickened again to bolt in by 4L,he would be my idea of a meeting BANKER at this stage. The Hannons have a great record in this aswell.Hes not certain for this race however
It worries me that O'Briens CC drifted like a barge in Navan.

Darran, it could either mean they don't think much of him, or he was only half cooked!

Sir Prancealot's run at Sandown was extremely eye catching. Richard Hughes came out the other day and said some of the 2yo's are a bit behind and he thinks there will be other contenders from the yard for this race.

Richard Hughes intimates Sir Prancealot may stay at 5f for the Norfolk in his RP column today. Would have liked to see big quotes about the horse he beat at Sandown who looked like 6f would suit but not quoted by the only ones up, Corals.

Just got Top Boy added to Coral's Cov market via James Knight on Twitter and cheekily suggested he go 100/1 which he did! Had a ton each way of that, there are worse 100/1 shots!

It's rock solid, one of the best maidens of the season for future winners, with Cay Verde boasting top notch form since - plus Darren has tipped it!

Yes indeed - he beat 10 horses, 8 had ran since and 6 out of 8 have won nicely. Some maiden, and step up in trip will surely assist Englishman.
