Thanks MrE,

I will try to maintain a good record this month!

As you have have probably read the threads, you know I try and go for the meeting of the day of where "favorites" have the highest strike rate. It is a very easy system to learn and I would think most people can predict after a week or so of which selection I am going to go for.

I know any system can suddenly go through a bad patch, so I prefer level staking personally.

Enjoy the forum.

Matron.... Yep, I can see your method of selection. I've been doing it that way for sometime and very profitable it is too but on several occassions we have differed in wether we decide if there is a bet or not..... take yesterday for instance, my bet was Waterlaw (1st @ 13/8) at Bangor but you found no bet, perhaps we are using different criteria.... All the best anyway and I hope you find this as profitable as I do. I'll stay in the background for a while and watch because, as a newbie, I would be rude to impose.....
regards

Well done Matron, your flying..... I cant help but feel that you use a lot of this "gut feeling" and change the race according to this "feeling".... the reason that I say this is that ,as I stated earlier, I bet the same way and I bet Better Offer in the 2.30... the Hurdles races had a better % than Chasers (although it was very close), and going back to your earlier postings (at Chester,I think), you said that you were a bit iffy about the one that was quoted at 4/6 and preferred the last race at 11/10 cos it offered better value..... wouldn't it have been the same today with Ashley Muck quoted at 8/11 and Better Offer quoted at 11/10...... I remain nonplussed my friend but tremendously impressed nontheless (I think I've just burnt my keyboard out writing those big words)..... hehehe...... if you had been betting on a Sunday, I think you may have had Investor yesterday too, that Won @ 7/4...... excellent tipping Matron......
regards
MrE

MrE,

I had three races for contention this afternoon at Newton Abbot, they were the:- 2.00, 2:30 & 3:30

I disregarded the 3:30 first as Major Lando's price was always going to be very low. I plumped for the 2:00 as Ashley Muck was bound to end up "favourite" and also the horse has won on it's last two outings, C&D and the magic "Pipe & McCoy" combination. This to me gave the edge over "Better Offer" in the 2:30. I was pleasantly surprised to get evens as the horse returned at 10-11 SP.

As you say, the "gut" feeling does come into the equation, but it is great that we both chose a winner
today.

It will give you a great deal of satisfaction Rob, but like everything in life you will have your "ups and downs" to contend with!

Morning Matron.... I've gotta admit, you've got me stumbling around in the dark now. How do you make Brighton the meeting to go for, I've got that at 38% but surely Chepstow takes it at 40%....... perhaps your lucky pin has got bent.... :confused: :smiley: :smiley:

MrE,

I work from the "Times" newspaper which have the following stats for today:-

Brighton = 34.2%
Chepstow = 33.2%
Haydock = 33.2%

If you are working from "RSB", no doubt the figures are slightly different.
