This thread seems to often do the rounds, not all Nicholls runners are superstars, though they will almost always start at prices that don’t reflect their form purely because they are trained by the great trainer. The two Stewart horses that ran today are far from top class, escpecially Oamaru Stone who is almost certain to be sold on to a lesser stable I imagine.
That 3 mile novice race was a competitive race for change for a Tuesday novice event, the winner will almost certainly turn out to be the better of the two I expect, so on balance, I would say all nicholls runners today were beaten on merit.
