I confess I’m struggling to understand why a British police force is attempting to make a case of conspiracy to defraud bookmakers, when a) said bookmakers are resident in Asia and b) said bookmakers are themselves illegal.
Then again, these ‘economic crime’ units all seem to be much keener on headlines than on police work.
