The question will be whether Ballydoyle can get Frankel out of his comfort zone. Was impressed with how Excelebration won the race within metres at the Curragh recently, so if they can keep him within touch of Frankel in the last furlong they have a chance. The other option they have is to try get Frankel either to race Windsor Palace in the hope he tires.

Excelebration was in touch approaching the final furlong in the Greenham and the QEII and was blown away in both events.
I also think that it would be pretty pointless to set a very fast pace with WP as these are the very tactics that the Frankel connections have tried on a number of occasions and it also looks like they will run Bullet Train on Saturday.

Unless Excelebration has improved to become the next Brigadier Gerard or Tudor Minstrel, it would appear they are hoping on Frankel being significantly below his best, which judging by the racecouse gallop I seen last week doesn’t seem to be the case.
