We share the same opinion about Kempton’s Boxing Day showpiece Gord. You’d have to say that if Pipey sends our grey then he must be happy enough with him to believe he has the chance of running a huge race. If there’s even a remote chance that he’s not 100% fit then he surely wouldn’t be risked, which then taking that into consideration, brings us back to that Feltham form you’ve been(quite rightly!) banging on about all year.

I put up in another post though, to look at the race from another angle, what of the chances of the other grey,

Al Ferof

? The point I was eluding to was that he’s the other in the race I could see winning, but it’s not his King George price that interests me in that respect. I’m aware of the fact that Mr Nicholls have already stated that Al Ferof won’t be aimed at the Gold Cup in March, but if he were to win the King George could he really not send him? If he were to win on Boxing Day there’s no doubt in my mind that he’d run in the Gold Cup and be a live player at that.

So Gord, how about his chances for Boxing Day? If you give him any sort of shout then the 33s on the machines for March must be of some sort of interest?
