Suggestions put forward on other forums for who should play Clare are, in no particular order, Eddie Izzard, Dawn French and Susan Boyle.

I have always thought that Clare looked like Eddie Izzard. Look at this photo of Eddie and imagine the following commentary:-

"My Lords, Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the 2013 Grand National winner On His Own into the winners enclosure"
