I think you will find Vincent O’Brien trained around 120 Group 1 winners less than J B Cummings, the real master.

I do not think this is a thread about who was the best trainer ever, that would probably degerate into “oh, yes he is”, “oh, no he isn’t”. It is about what attributes are needed to be a top class trainer. But if you did wish to expand the original question, then you would have to explain why you think the number of Group 1 wins was the sole criterion. If you had a terrific reason for chosing that single measure, and then compared two trainers against it, you would have to add lots of detail to give a fair comparison. How many years did each spend training horses for Group 1 races, how many Group 1 races did they have the opportunity to aim at, how many horses did they have in their stable, etc.

I would like to know what attributes Bart Cummings has that makes him a genius, what does he do differently to others that makes him so very successful?

I dont see you posting to those who state Cecil is the best, just me  What makes Cummings a genius, simple 12 Melbourne Cups, one of the hardest races in the world to win, though the real reason is his superior judgement. We have 64 Group 1 races,UK and Ireland about 44 i think.Quite a lot that Cummings won were not group 1 races that are now,so the tally could be much greater.
