GRAND NATIONAL DAY IS HERE AT LAST AND SO A BIG WELCOME to the final day of
THE JUMPS SEASON TOP TIPSTER COMPY
It's finally arrived the day the King or Queen of the Jumps Season tipping contest will be crowned.

Here are the rules:-

3 horses 1 point theoretical win on each
no more than 1 horse in same race
1 selection may be napped + 1 reserve may be added

Evens = 1 point
2/1=2 points
5/2=2.5 points and so on but please remember anything up to 15/8 is only 1 point
Odds on=0.5

***Full points if your horse dead heats***

One horse maybe napped for double points if your nap is withdrawn or a non-runner then your reserve becomes your nap
all entries must be posted before the deadline

Please note = British and Irish racing only = but any nationality can take part
*****************************************************************

Des you will be pleased to hear that we have managed to secure the services on non other than Graham Dench to award the prizes to whoever is crowned TOP TIPSTER after todays exciting finally, and of course he has promised us an extra special write up in Sundays Racing Post.

Back to the real world... and HOT FUSS has set the standard high with a fantastic 150 points 24 lengths ahead of Mick the Painter who himself is 19 lengths ahead of the elusive Jamie007 (perhaps he is undercover is on a mission for Graham Dench). Come back for the final week Jamie you could still be top tipster, and I'm hoping to hang onto 4th position by my fingernails Des

Over2U and Dfward came bursting out of midfield with a clear challenge for the top places last week and nobody can really be ruled out with a 50/1 winner today at Aintree, a nap is all it would take to snatch the contest in the last stride.

On behalf of Des, El and Steve and myself, well done and thank you to all who have kept the faith since the compy began and hope some of those who left us will come back for the Start of
THE NEW SEASON SATURDAY FLAT TOP TIPSTER COMPY
which will be kicked off by Des next Saturday when we all go
back to Zero points.

Update Saturday 14th April
BREAKING NEWS.....BREAKING NEWS......BREAKING NEWS....

I haven't totted up the results yet, will post Sunday night
but I think we may be in for a bit of a shock result courtesy of a certain DFWARD who napped Neptunes Collonge at 33/1 well done David it looks like you may have snatched the Crown from Hot Fuss just as we were about to place it on his head.
Jonova also chose Neptunes Collonge along with Bob Rolf who had a double today securing him 44 points and a top place on the Leaderboard.

Confirmation of results tomorrow night...well done to all who had winners today....Jac

******************************************************
SUNDAY 15TH APRIL

ROLL OF DRUMS....
WE HAVE A NEW LEADER AND 7.5 LENGTH WINNER OF THE SATURDAY JUMPS TOP TIPSTER COMPY
*******************************************************

with both Hot Fuss and Mick the Painter drawing a blank on this all important week I can now confirm that DFWARD made an amazing run down the back straight for the lead, making up an amazing 66 lengths and is THE WINNER
of the SATURDAY JUMPS SEASON TIPSTER COMPY napping Neptunes Collonge at 33/1 winner of the GRAND NATIONAL.
....
...well done David step up and receive all your virtual goodies and the key to the Penthouse for the next 6 months, we will all be up later to share the virtual bubbly and the pork scratchings. :D :D

It has to be mentioned that Jonova also napped Neptunes Collonge and Bob Rolf burst through the pack with a double earning him 44 points with Neptunes Collonge and Sant Are, well done to all.

Gumsey it looks like you will be handing your hard earned cash over to your Son Jason at the end of this compy, but Jason just a note...posting 4 times does NOT give you 4 times the points  (good try though  )

Des went AWOL this week, but was probably looking for his Liverpool Strip and Stavros lookalike fancy dress for his trip to the Grand National, but he will be back next week when the new compy for the Flat Season starts. Hope you had a great day Des.

Well done to Hot Fuss in 2nd place who looked as though he was going to walk it last week and to Mick the Painter for coming 3rd. Occupying the coved 4th position and knocking me off my comfortable cushion is Bob Rolf, well done Bob get you back next time.
