Don’t know whether any of you will see this post! Only just joined this chat forum, all new for me. Anyway just wanted to say thank you for your supportive comments. My Dad and I were celebrating what we thought was a great result for our first chase, against top class horses, when we were told of the stewards decision. The combined winnings of the first 3 horses was over £250,000, our horse had won around £2,000!! Like you, in our opinion, he came exactly where he should have. Leighton rode him exactly the same as all his previous races, always keeping him at the back out of trouble. We have never interferred with the trainers advice and that day as far as we were concerned, we were there to do our best. Oliver did appeal but lost. I read some pretty upsetting and vile comments on various chat forums over the few weeks following the race so when I saw your comments recently it really did restore my faith a little! We simply breed the odd foal and put them into training at great expense, with the odd rare reward! I guess that day we were the chosen one!
