HF has been "ahead of the pack" for years now; even his worst performance was a close-up third in the Champion Hurdle. Obviously below-par seeing how he has defeated the winner twice since. His acceleration between the last two hurdle on heavy ground was spectacular, leaving behind a Champion and French Champion hurdler.
