There were a couple of instances at Wolverhampton last year, apparently the same set of stewards.
Firstly on Mutual Regard 20th October
The Stewards held an enquiry into the use of the whip by Luke Morris, the rider of MUTUAL REGARD, the winner, in the home straight. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they found him in breach of Schedule (B)6 Part 2 in that he used his whip above shoulder height. The Stewards suspended Morris for 2 days as follows: Saturday 3 and Monday 5 November 2012.
And on 24th November on Italian Riviera
The Stewards held an enquiry into the use of the whip by Luke Morris, the rider of the winner, ITALIAN RIVIERA, in the final two furlongs. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they found him in breach of Schedule (B)6 Part 2 in that he had used his whip with his arm above shoulder height. The Stewards suspended Morris for 2 days as follows: Saturday 8 and Monday 10 December, 2012.
