Possibly the most patronising/condescending paragraph I’ve ever read on this forum. Damning with faint praise with the use of ‘on the whole’ is especially belittling.

How the xxxx can it be "Damning with faint praise" to say that "on the whole" someone’s "racing knowledge is very good" and that they "know so much" about the game?
