I just caught the tail-end of the race and it looked like The Grey Gatsby would have prevailed in another few strides. The race report says he was slightly outpaced. He’ll win more races though.
The Godolphin horse, First Flight was yet another 2yo who looked good first time out, was said to be "sure to improve", yet finished last of the six runners after going off 2nd favourite.
