I like the look of my old pal Pallasator for the Ces. He was pulled out of the Ebor but, ironically, the rain came down in buckets by the time of the race. A highly respectable third on his comeback in the Old Borough Cup at Haydock, with Oriental Fox well behind him, he did all his best work late in the race. It was pretty much the same story on his last run of last season where he shaped like a real stayer in bad ground. He comes here fresh and unexposed, with more to give surely?
If he stays he could well be too good for some of the usual suspects. 10/1 is not great odds but worth a couple of quid win only.
