Oh dear GT , I have been trying to train you but it seems hopeless! Your major targets for steroids are geldings, it is counter productive in entires making them too heavy. Whilst fillies may benefit from such if they were small it is not common to give fillies and mares steroids. Therefore it will not make one iota of difference to their form if a horse is not using steroids.

Is that what Moody and Kavanagh have told you Jollyp?

No GT unlike you I know a bit about the subject, it is called horse sense! See there you go insinuating again! I have hands on experience giving horses injections, why don’t we start questioning Frankel if he may have had steroids? Why well going by your standards if they come from here and are a good horse they must have had steroids! Don’t be a d@ckhead all your life GT!

So you’re the Aussie needle man Jollyp!
It wasn’t you who injected Takeover Target in the wrong place, was it Jollyp?

I too have my sourses who say steroids are just as effective in larger horses and fillies/mares.

Imagine this scenario my Aussie freind.

Owner: "Why do you think that horse beat us a length"?
Trainer: "He might be on steroids".
Owner: "Isn’t that illegal"?
Trainer: "No, perfectly legal".

Now answer me this…
Is the owner going to say:

"Oh, that’s alright then".
Or
"So why the f*~# isn’t our horse on steroids?

And if you think he’ll say the former…
What if the two horses meet again and is beaten by the same distance?
What would the owner say then Jollyp?

If steroids are legal then the trainer is not doing his best to win a race. If steroids are illegal (as in Frankel/Sir Henry’s case) the situation does not arise; the trainer has to keep within the rules. It will be interesting to see how Australian horses fair in the next few years.
