Fallon was at a distinct disadvantage having not ever ridden in the race before. I don’t doubt that the pace of Aussie races are completely different to the likes of Ascot or Goodwood. Pity that Fallon wasn’t prepared for it, as Yeats was going like a machine down the back side. The horse was up for it.
