This is one horse to remember and to take in calculations whenever there is a discussion about best horses ever. Having won an unprecedented 3rd consecutive Breeders’ Cup Mile, November 2010, the Freddie Head trained “European Superhorse” will stay in training next year. 2011 saw the return of Goldikova with a win at Longchamp at Prix d’Ispahan. In June Goldikova took 2nd at Ascot in the Queen Anne Stakes, but returned for a routine win at Deauville on July 31. Finished 3rd in her last race, 2011 Breeder’s Cup, raising up a bit of a dilemma with the stewards, yet result stood, as she wasn’t judged to have impeded the outcome of the race or the podium. Goldikova was one of the great stallions of the sport.
